Dear Comenius friends, Our primary school Struhlovsko is located in the historical town of Hranice in the Moravian region. The town is surrounded by a unique landscape of Moravian gate with its green hills. The school is mainly focused on subjects like science, maths and PE. There is a sports centre with a multi – purpose playground and a large garden where children can spend their time relaxing or have lessons if the weather is fine. We have about 500 pupils who attend classes from the age of 6 to 15. 30 teachers look after them. We also have a kindergaten just next to the school. One of the most important thing in the process of teaching young learners at our school is to introduce a new technology such as interactive boards or the internet in all classes. Our pupils also take part in a lot of competitions concerning various areas of their interests ( sports, languages, arts, natural sciences). A modern cafeteria we have on site is very popular both among students and teachers. Most students have lunches there and they can choose from 2 meals. If you go along the corridors in the school it is like an art gallery with plenty of wonderful art works of the pupils that decorate the walls. You must come and see!
Best regards, all the folks from primary school Hranice.

Our school’s garden is big, so everybody can play outside. But if the weather is rainy and cold, it isn’t allowed to play outside. Because they think about our health. There are football, basketball and volleyball areas in our school garden. Everybody can use there.
We make P.E. lessons in the sports hall. A lot of students love sport activities in our class. Girls are good at volleyball. Boys are good at football and basketball. Lots of bodies play volleyball and football in break time. And they love it too much.
We sometimes go to school trips to Gebze and İstanbul. There are lots of historical places in there. Our school is in Gebze. Gebze is near İstanbul. There are a lot of palaces, towers, castles, museums… Some of them Dolmabahçe Palace, Galata Tower, Eskihisar Castle, Toy Museum, Hagi Sofia Mosque…
They are information about us. See you soon… :)))

Dear friends,

we are sending warm greetings from the town of Hranice, the place with a rich history and a beautiful landscape, where there is the deepest abyss in Europe.
Our school has nearly five hundred students. It also includes the school cafeteria, kindergarten and the youth center where younger pupils spend their free time after school, before parents pick them up.
The photograph shows pupils from class 7.B who welcomed the Polish partner, school Rydułtowy, last year. Then you can see the pupils who sent their characteristics to all participating countries of the project and are looking for friends to communicate in English.

Class 7.B are trained according to the curriculum with extended maths classes.  Pupils from 6th class  have also chosen another language to learn - mostly German, but also  Russian or  French. They have a total of five foreign language lessons a week.
Students have different interests - mostly attending local Art School or various sports organizations. As a team, we last took part in the Dragon Boat races - nineteen students and a teacher were supposed to, as soon as possible in the same rhythm, paddle 200 meters.

Greetings from the Czech Republic!
